Ragon's Sylvie Legall, PhD is honored as a CAVD Young/Early Career Investigator for October 2009

Each month, the Collaboration for AIDS Vaccine Discovery (CAVD), supported by the Gates Foundation, recognizes one or two young or early career investigators who have made a major contribution to CAVD-related research.  The October 2009 recognition goes to Dr. Sylvie Legll from the Ragon Institute and Dr. Daniel Zak from Dr. Julie McElrath's Vaccine Discovery Consortium.

To learn more about these two investigators and past honorees, please visit the CAVD Young Investigators page.

Dr. Legall's lab is a part of the acute HIV infection research program at the Ragon Institute.  Specifically, her lab is investigating the impact that antigen processing has on determining the immunodominance patterns of the initial HIV-1-specific CD8+ T cell response.
